About Pride In Health

Who we are

Pride In Health is a trans+ led, community-led organisation committed to operating as a not-for-profit, with any surplus reinvested into the work we do.

We are an online gender clinic in the UK providing gender-affirming healthcare for transgender, non-binary and intersex adults aged 18 and over.

Through our multidisciplinary team, we provide GP-led gender-affirming healthcare, hormone prescribing, private blood test monitoring and Flexible Support options such as counselling, gender marker change letters, formal diagnosis and surgery referrals.

We work under informed consent and harm reduction models, ensuring that support is tailored to your needs without unnecessary barriers or long wait times.

Our goal is simple: to help you access safe, affirming healthcare on your terms.

We have a growing team of UK-registered health professionals, including GMC-registered doctors, NMC-registered nurses, GPhC-registered pharmacists, an HCPC-registered biochemist and psychologists with relevant professional registration or accreditation.

Why we exist

There’s no shortage of people in our community who’ve been left waiting, left to figure it out on their own, or told no again and again.

We’ve seen it. We’ve lived it. And that’s why we built this space.

Pride In Health provides GP-led gender-affirming healthcare through trusted, UK-registered clinicians who understand the importance of listening first, and making sure care is shaped around your needs.

Everything we do is rooted in harm reduction and informed consent. We believe you deserve support that meets you where you are, without gatekeeping or shame.

This isn’t a replacement for the NHS. It’s a response to the gaps. And it’s built together with our community.

What care looks like

You can access support through three main pathways:

  • Flexible Support for people self-managing their care or accessing support alongside another service
  • Hormone prescribing  for people starting, continuing or re-establishing gender-affirming hormone treatment, with clinical review, blood tests and ongoing monitoring
  • Ongoing care for people who need continued monitoring, prescribing, treatment review and shared care support over time

Care is led by our UK-registered clinicians, including doctors, nurses, pharmacists and psychologists, working collaboratively with your wellbeing at the centre.

We use a secure online system, Carebit, to help you stay in control of your care. You can manage appointments, access records, update information and share information with your GP or other providers when needed.

About Pride In Health

Our Mission

Opening the way to safe, reliable gender affirming care for trans, non binary and intersex adults. Giving you space to work with our UK registered clinicians and clear, community centred pathways.

Our Vision

To make gender-affirming healthcare accessible, safe, and centred on dignity, led by and for our community.

Our Values

 P – Privacy & Safeguarding First

  • Our Value: We are unwavering in our commitment to safety and confidentiality.
  • What this looks like: We proactively protect data and dignity, always acting with care, discretion, and respect.

R – Respect & Consent

  • Our Value: Every step of care should honour autonomy and informed choice.
  • What this looks like: We provide clear information, check understanding, and support clients to remain in control of their pathway.

I – Informed by Evidence

  • Our Value: Best practice comes from learning, listening, and using reliable knowledge.
  • What this looks like: We apply up-to-date guidance, learn from lived experience, and adapt when things can be improved.

D – Dignity-Centred

  • Our Value: We centre the human experience and treat every person with compassion and empathy.
  • What this looks like: We create safe, non-judgmental, and affirming spaces for clients and colleagues alike.

E – Equity Through Community Leadership

  • Our Value: We believe equity is built by those most affected leading the way.
  • What this looks like: We involve the community in decisions, publish pricing transparently, and reinvest resources to improve access.

Working With Our Team

We don’t list every clinician by name on the site, partly for safety and partly because this service isn’t about individuals. It’s about the care we create together.

What we can tell you is that every clinical decision is made by qualified professionals working within Pride In Health’s multidisciplinary team, governance processes and professional standards.

The team includes GMC-registered doctors, NMC-registered nurses, GPhC-registered pharmacists, an HCPC-registered biochemist and psychologists with relevant professional registration or accreditation. We also have an HCPC-registered Clinical Psychologist offering supervision and oversight.

We trust the people we work with because we’ve built this service together through lived experience and expertise.

And we know that what matters most is how care is felt, not how it’s framed.

If you're interested in being part of growing our services, you can view our open positions on our Work With Pride page.

The Pride In Health Logo

Colourful image of the Pride In Health Kaleidoscope logo

The Pride Kaleidoscope represents the diversity of our community, with the pink triangle at its core, reclaimed as a sign of strength and resilience. Each colour in our logo reflects our dedication to supporting every part of our trans, non-binary, and intersex community:

  • Pink & Blue –  These colours symbolise the transgender community. Traditionally associated with femininity and masculinity, their inclusion in our logo highlights our support for those who navigate their gender identity beyond the binary.

  • White –  This colour represents the non-binary community, those who do not exclusively identify as male or female. The presence of white in our logo signifies our commitment to recognising and validating non-binary identities.

  • Yellow & Purple –  These colours stand for the intersex community. Yellow and purple have been chosen because they are not traditionally linked to the binary genders. Their inclusion in our logo reflects our dedication to providing care and support for intersex individuals.

Our logo is more than an image. It is a promise that at Pride In Health, you are seen, respected, and valued.
