Ongoing care is now explained by pathway and by Year 1, Year 2, and Year 3. We are keeping flexibility by continuing to offer both pay as you use the service and a monthly payment option for ongoing care.
The move from Year 1 to Year 2 to Year 3 reflects how care often develops over time. In most cases, the main difference is the frequency of blood test review, while regular monitoring and prescribing support continue throughout.
Care still depends on clinical need, and not everyone will progress in exactly the same way or at the same time.

With this pathway, blood tests are arranged through Pride In Health as part of your ongoing care.
This option suits people who want a more supported route for blood testing and review, with less admin to manage themselves.

With this pathway, you arrange blood tests separately and send the results to us as a PDF for review.
This option suits people who already have access to blood tests elsewhere and are comfortable arranging and sending results themselves.

With shared care, your GP may issue prescriptions and arrange blood tests, while we continue clinician-led review, treatment recommendations, documentation, and communication where needed to support safe care.

Shared care is not a lower-support pathway. Although your GP may issue prescriptions and arrange blood tests, this pathway still involves ongoing clinician-led oversight and support from our team for you and your GP.
A monthly payment option is also available for people who would prefer to spread the cost of care more predictably.
The monthly payment option is not a subscription. It does not tie you into paying for a set number of months or years, and it does not change what is included in your care.
If you need to pause or stop your care, monthly payments can also stop until you are ready to access services and support again.
The monthly payment option does not change what is included in your care.

Shared care is only available after at least 6 months of well monitored care and where your GP agrees.

Ongoing care is there to help treatment stay safe, practical, and well supported over time.
What this usually includes:

After at least 6 months of stable, well monitored care, you can request shared care.
If your GP agrees, they may take on prescribing and blood tests, while you continue to receive clinician-led review, treatment recommendations, documentation, and support from Pride In Health.
If your GP does not agree, you can continue privately so you are not left stuck.

Shared care is always at the discretion of the GP practice, even when everything is stable. It is worth speaking to your GP early, so you know what may be realistic in your area.
After registration, everything is managed through your secure Carebit portal.
You will be able to:
Prescriptions are issued by UK-registered prescribers and sent to you digitally via SignatureRx.
Medication costs are not included and are paid directly to the pharmacy you choose.
Pharmacies set their own pricing, and this will vary from one pharmacy to another. It is recommended that you contact your local pharmacies before ordering medication so you can compare prices.
If your GP or a private UKAS-accredited pathology provider can provide blood tests, that is no problem. Just upload your results to your Carebit portal as a PDF, and we will guide you on whether anything further is needed.
