The updated pricing takes effect from 1 June 2026.
No. Not every person will need every intake service. You only pay for the services you need as part of starting care.
The one-off intake services are:
Intake costs are one-off costs that may apply when you are starting care.
Ongoing care costs relate to the monitoring, prescribing support, and blood test review needed as your care continues over time.
There are three main pathways for ongoing care:
The right pathway depends on how your blood tests and prescribing are managed.
With PIH bloods, blood tests are arranged through Pride in Health as part of that pathway.
With external blood tests, you arrange blood tests separately and send the results to us as a PDF for our team to review.
The external blood test pathway does not include the cost of arranging those blood tests.
Shared care means your GP may issue prescriptions and arrange blood tests, while we continue clinician-led review, treatment recommendations, documentation, and communication where needed to support safe care.
Shared care is not part of intake. It is only available to request after at least 6 months of well monitored care, and only where a GP agrees.
Shared care is not a lower-support pathway. Although your GP may issue prescriptions and arrange blood tests, this pathway still involves ongoing clinician-led oversight and support from our team.
These are ways of explaining how ongoing care often develops over time. In most cases, the main difference is the frequency of blood test review, while regular monitoring and prescribing support continue throughout.
Not necessarily. Care always depends on clinical need, so not everyone will progress in exactly the same way or at the same time.
Yes. We are keeping a pay as you use the service option.
No. The monthly payment option is simply there for people who would prefer to spread the cost of care more predictably. It does not tie you into paying for a set number of months or years, and it does not change what is included in your care.
You can still choose to pay for services as you use them instead. If you need to pause or stop your care, monthly payments can also stop until you are ready to access services and support again.
The monthly payment option does not change what is included in your care.
Part of this change reflects the growing cost of delivering safe, sustainable care as the service grows. It also reflects the work involved in strengthening systems, governance, and support, including our work towards regulatory status with Healthcare Improvement Scotland.
