Online Gender-Affirming Care

Pride In Health is a community-led, not-for-profit online gender clinic in the UK, providing gender-affirming care for transgender, non-binary and intersex adults aged 18 and over.

We support people who are starting, continuing or re-establishing gender-affirming hormone treatment, as well as people who need blood test monitoring, Flexible Support, clinical letters, counselling, ongoing care or help working towards shared care with their GP.

Looking for private gender-affirming care can feel overwhelming. You may be comparing services, trying to understand costs, worrying about blood tests, or working out whether your GP might be able to help.

This page explains how Pride In Health works, what we can support with, and where to go next.

Start here if you are looking for:

  •  An online gender clinic in the UK
  • Gender-affirming hormone prescribing
  • Private trans hormones or HRT in the UK
  • Blood test monitoring for gender-affirming hormone care
  • Support if you are self-managing your care
  • Ongoing hormone care and clinical review
  • Help understanding shared care with your GP
  • Clear pricing before you start

How Pride In Health works

Most care through Pride In Health takes place online. This means we can support clients across the UK, while keeping appointments, documents, blood test results and care information organised through a secure client portal.

The exact steps depend on your pathway, but care may include:

  • Registration and identity checks
  • Intake or transferral appointments
  • Care Navigation support
  • Baseline blood tests
  • Gender Clinician appointments
  • Hormone prescribing where clinically appropriate
  • Ongoing blood test monitoring
  • Prescription review and continuation
  • Clinical letters and documentation
  • Shared care guidance where appropriate

You will be guided through what is needed for your pathway, so you are not expected to work everything out alone.

About Pride In Health

Hormone Prescribing Pathway

For people who want to start, continue or re-establish gender-affirming hormone treatment through Pride In Health.

This pathway includes structured appointments, informed consent, baseline blood tests, clinical review, prescribing where clinically appropriate, and ongoing monitoring.

After you have completed the relevant intake appointments and received your first prescription, your care usually moves into ongoing care. Ongoing care is where continued monitoring, prescription review, blood test review and shared care support happen over time.

Shared care is also part of the Hormone Prescribing Pathway. It can usually be requested later, after a period of stable, well-monitored care, and only where your GP agrees.

Flexible Support Pathway

For those who need individual services, such as blood test reviews, hormone discussion with a UK-registered clinician, counselling, clinical letters, or support while self-managing their care.

Flexible Support may be useful for people who are already accessing care elsewhere, people who need one-off support, or people who are self-managing their care, including people who may describe this as DIY hormone use.

This pathway does not include prescriptions.

Ongoing care

Transform Your Health with Pride In Health's Holistic Approach

Ongoing Care is not a separate starting pathway. It begins after you have completed the relevant intake appointments, had your clinical review and received your first prescription through the Hormone Prescribing Pathway.

Ongoing care helps make sure gender-affirming hormone treatment remains safe, appropriate and responsive to your goals over time.

It may include:

  • Regular blood test monitoring
  • Clinical review appointments
  • Prescription review and continuation where clinically appropriate
  • Medication adjustments where clinically appropriate
  • Shared care guidance and documentation
  • Support if your GP does not agree to shared care
  • Ongoing safety monitoring and follow-up

How to get started

Transparent pricing from the start

We publish pricing information so you can understand likely costs before starting care.

Costs vary depending on the pathway you choose, whether you need hormone prescribing, blood tests, ongoing care, Flexible Support, clinical letters or one-off appointments.

You can use our Pricing Information page and service calculator to check which costs may apply to your situation.

What makes Pride In Health different

Pride In Health was created because too many people in our community have been left waiting, left unsupported, or left to work things out alone.

We are:

  • Community-led
  • Not-for-profit
  • GP-led
  • Online and UK-wide
  • Built around informed consent and harm reduction
  • Supported by UK-registered clinicians and professionals
  • Committed to clear pricing and practical information
  • Focused on transgender, non-binary and intersex adults

We are not here to overpromise or make care sound simpler than it is. Gender-affirming healthcare needs proper clinical review, blood test monitoring, clear records and honest conversations about risk, benefit, cost and choice.

Our aim is to make care safer, clearer and more community focused.

Is Pride In Health right for me?
